About the Event
The guest speaker will be Eileen Sterns who will discuss music therapy in regards to health care. Ms. Sterns received her bachelor's degree in music from Humboldt State University and is currently studying therapeutic music in two different training programs. She will discuss how various sections of music apply to different clinical and life scenarios. She will also demonstrate music therapy with her harp and possibly other instruments.
Ms. Sterns lives in Mount Vernon, Washington State and is the baby sister to Barbara Mayer, a former secretary for the APPA board and longtime volunteer for APPA. She will also discuss her life as a baby sister to a polio survivor.
